For the first time in history, the Duo-NM is being held. In the duo-NM, two players play on each team.

General rules
- Team size: Each team consists of exactly two participants. Substitutes are only allowed for mixed teams.
- Club affiliation: The players on the team do not have to belong to the same club.

Base game:
The base game is played over two rounds.
The result is decided by adding up the number of goals scored from both games. The team with the most goals overall wins.

Playoffs:
The playoff is decided in a best of 7 format.

The winner of each individual round in the playoff is determined by adding up the number of goals from both games. The team with the most goals overall wins the round.
